3D Printer

Our technology and differentiators

Our flagship 3D printer was created by industry professionals with a combined experience of over 60 years in the industry, and every second of that experience shows in the Lumia.X1. From the streamlined, intuitive UI, to the soft locking mechanisms on the resin vat, every part of the Lumia.X1 has been considered. It’s truly a first of its kind machine, with dual DLP and laser photosynthesis that eliminates tradeoffs between print speed and print resolution. Learn more about our X1 series 3D printers below.

Print Speed

Lumia X1, powered by HPS and TruLayer technologies, offers the most optimal combination of print throughput and part fidelity. It is the best option on the market for delivering extreme high resolution for fine feature details and smooth surfaces without pixelation or aliasing surface artifacts. The best of both worlds (print speed + injection molding quality) is now available from a single industrial-grade 3D printer.

Build Volume, Zero Sacrifices

For normal DLP only 3D printers, build size is in direct opposition to the resolution, minimum feature size, and ability to create smooth surfaces without post-processing. Lumia X1 with HPS technology eliminates that trade-off by offering a substantially larger build area than most 4k DLP machines with 45-micron resolution. Providing outstanding speed, size, and resolution makes Lumia X1 the best fit to address a wide variety of applications, from prototyping and tooling to end-use part production.

TruLayer Tech

Feature Description: Axtra3D’s uniquely developed and patented TruLayer Technology is on-board every Lumia X1 printer. The TruLayer technology offers distinct advantages:

  • Adaptive and very accurate of setting of layer gap pre imaging
  • Rapid detachment of the active print layer from the vat membrane
  • No limitations to the cross-sections being printed, including large and bulky cross-sections
  • Non-degenerative vat membrane
  • Ability to print highly viscous resins
Perfect Print Every Time

The Lumia X1 uses high-end optoelectronics with top-of-the-line mechatronics to produce a highly repeatable curing process. This combined with the HPS and TruLayer technologies help achieve near-isotropic mechanical properties in all three directions.

Dual Business Models

The Lumia X1 is available both in the open and closed material configurations, offering our customers the highest level of freedom. Designed to handle today's best materials along with tomorrow’s possibilities, Lumia X1 is capable of processing both filled and unfilled resins with a wide range of viscosities. As more 3D printing materials become available, the Lumia X1 is well positioned to offer access to the widest variety of these “future” materials.
